DEENA designs, engineers and produces shark jaws and towing pins upto a SWL of 100t.
The unit is comprised of two opposing jaws and a stainless steel wire lifter pin situated in a common frame which is welded into the deck of the vessel.
The Shark Jaws and Towing Pin mounting frame is watertight and has drain fittings for connection by the installing shipyard.
The two jaws and wire lifter pin are independently raised and lowered by marine grade hydraulic cylinders having chrome plated stainless steel rods.
The unit is remotely controlled from a drop-in control panel located in the wheelhouse. An additional control panel or pendant is supplied for local operation. The operating system features a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC} and is solid state to reduce wiring connections and increased reliability. Except for the motor starter and operator control switches, no contact closures are used in the system.
A Quick Release accumulator system is incorporated to operate the tow pin instantly and working in conjunction with the "Quick Release" system of shark jaw.
The design of our Towing Pins can withstand the rated SWL at 30ᵒ wrap and at 75% height of the two pin.
